The challenge with this job was to use existing Ford photography assets and reuse them for Ford’s website. I had to update vehicle images with different trim levels.
I was provided a master raw CGI mesh with all trim packages. I created and applied textures for the new trim level and camera matched the CGI vehicle trim to existing photography assets. Then, I rendered and retouched the new trim options together on the existing photography. I also color shifted the paint color on the photography.
I used Cinema 4D R21 and Photoshop.
Using CGI and retouching is much easier and faster than producing a new photo shoot for updated product images. If last year’s images still suit the art direction of the product, why not get more use of them?
This is another example of my work as a CGI/Retouching artist and performing under tight deadlines. I received positive feedback from the art director and client.
